Milestones

Require all schools in England to have at least one member of their senior leadership team (SLT) dedicated to student mental health and wellbeing.

The government recommends a mental health professional in school, it is not mandatory. Students who face bullying in person or even online may not feel ok asking for help from their parents or teacher. SLT is a high ranking position within the school and has a say in changes the school can make, if there is an SLT member trained for mental health students students can talk to a trained professional who can find how the school can accommodate their needs easier due to their position of power.
