Make the 20% income tax rate apply to everyone, from the lowest paid to the richest, on all earned income above the basic tax-free allowance. We want no higher tax rates, no exceptions & no loopholes or tax breaks so that tax is unavoidable & easy to understand & in our view fair for everyone.

At the moment billionaires and large business can avoid tax with loopholes and tax breaks, and the use of tax havens etc.,. We believe this not only gives the impression of not being fair, it is not fair and deprives the country of tax income it desperately needs to fund the NHS and the increases needed in defence etc.,. So I propose a flat rate of income tax so the rich don't feel penalized for success, and the lower earners feel the rich pay their fair share.
