We believe flexi-schooling is a viable option for parents where education is shared between school and home. However, this agreement is at the discretion of the school. There is no formal process to apply or an appeals procedure. We call for there to be a legal right to flexi-schooling.

Full time education at school is not the best fit for every family. We feel a legal right to have the option of flexi-schooling is a legitimate one, but that the difficulty lies in the fact that it must be agreed upon by the school. We believe schools are not giving families the chance to trial this and instead are issuing a blanket no. There is no formal application process or appeals process, which we believe should be created to give families the opportunity to access this option.
