I believe the Government should change the law so that a victim of any form of child abuse cannot be denied justice because they were unable to fully disclose abuse within a statutory time frame.

Children may often delay or limit disclosure due to trauma or fear. In some cases, further allegations may emerge months or years later, but some offences cannot be prosecuted as statutory time limits have expired. I believe this can leave victims without access to justice through no fault of their own. I want the Government to introduce a new law that removes the statutory time limit on all child abuse cases.
