The recycling of medicinal (pill) packets is costly and difficult to do due to their composition. If the manufacturers of pill packets were made responsible for recycling used packets, there would be a greater chance of less impact on the environment and/or more sustainable packaging being used.

Councils across England cannot afford to recycle medicinal (pill) packets due to their composition making the process very costly. Direction from the UK Government to producers of the packaging to either create recycling facilities for the used packets themselves or use more sustainable materials will have a positive impact on our environment.
