While many new-build regulations will require solar panels, much of our ageing housing stock remains locked into fossil fuels. We want the Government to treat home energy efficiency as a national climate emergency and accelerate its Warm Homes Plan by setting legally binding annual deadlines to retrofit existing domestic properties with solar, batteries, and insulation. This will help slash carbon, protect families, and end fuel poverty.
