We want the Government to legislate to ban the early release and Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL) of anyone convicted of child cruelty in cases where a child has died, causing or allowing the death of a child, or manslaughter where the victim is a child.
We believe they should not be eligible for Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL) or any early release scheme before they have served their full custodial sentence. We feel allowing offenders convicted of these offences to receive Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL) or early release can undermine public confidence in the justice system.
