We call on the UK Government to cancel plans for a publicly funded second location for the PM’s office without a clear public mandate to do so, and without publishing the costs, and evidence that it represents value for taxpayers.
The Government plans to create a second base for the Prime Minister. We believe taxpayers should not fund an additional Prime Ministerial office without a clear public mandate, full transparency over the costs and evidence that it offers value for money. We think the Prime Minister should work from the existing official office at 10 Downing Street unless Parliament approves a different arrangement.
