Require all shared e-bike rental operators to provide third-party liability insurance covering personal injury, death and damage to third-party property caused while rented e-bikes are being used.
Shared e-bike schemes are growing rapidly across the UK. We believe operators should be legally required to provide third-party liability insurance covering personal injury, death and damage to third-party property caused while rented e-bikes are being used. This would help ensure victims can obtain compensation and increase public confidence in shared micromobility.
