Create an annual UK Mental Health and Wellbeing Bank Holiday to encourage rest, reduce stigma, promote community support and raise awareness.
We want the UK Government to introduce an annual Mental Health and Wellbeing Bank Holiday. The day should encourage rest, improve work-life balance, reduce stigma around mental health and promote community support. The Government should work with employers, charities and local authorities to organise awareness campaigns and wellbeing initiatives across the UK. This would recognise the importance of mental health, encourage people to recharge, and help create a healthier, more connected society.
