We support a ban on the sale of domestic gas hobs and ovens to help the environment and public health. Ohio’s publicly owned MetroHealth study in July 2026 found that replacing gas hobs and ovens with electric ones improved asthma symptoms in a way that was as good as some asthma medications.

This proposed ban would not include industrial gas hobs and ovens, nor emergency equipment.
