We would like the Government to ban the purchase & hiring of e-scooters throughout the country. We believe e-scooters are dangerous for both the riders & road users. Hireable e-scooters are a problem, as they can be used and then discarded in roadways, pathways & sometimes on people's properties.

Data suggests that e-scooters are dangerous to the riders and road users. In 2025, there were 1484 collisions recorded involving electric scooters - a 6.4% increase from the previous year - and at least 20-25% of these accidents involve those under the age of 18. A percentage of these accidents end fatally or result in severe injury, including broken bones and head trauma. These accidents can severely impact those involved, the rider, other riders and pedestrians, their families and bystanders. We believe that by signing this you could save a loved one.
