Milestones

Provide the public with access to a Gov monitored database containing the name, DOB, and county of residence of individuals convicted of domestic abuse or other violent crimes. An offender's details would remain accessible for 10 years and would be removed if they don't re-offend during that period.

The purpose of this law is to prevent domestic violence. We need prevention as much as we need protection; with easier and faster access to violent offenders and domestic abusers basic information we will be able to prevent substantially life changing crimes happening and it will promote early intervention. The aim of this is to prevent domestic abuse and reduce repeat incidents through evidence based information and protect persons at risk.
